Welcome

Women's National Team Open Program - February 24-26

Welcome to the registration for the Women's National Team (WNT) Open Program!

The WNT Open Program is used for consideration for selection to both our Women’s National Team and our Women’s Collegiate National Team. In 2023, members of our Women’s National Team will compete in the following events: Volleyball Nations League, Paris Olympic Qualifier, Pan American Cup, NORCECA Continental Championships, and potentially Pan American Games.

Athletes born in 2003 or younger may also be in consideration for selection to our U21 Women’s National Team that will compete in the 2023 FIVB U21 World Championships.

This program is open to current and recently graduated college-age athletes and older born in the years 1998-2004* inclusive. Athletes born outside of this age group may contact Nicole Segura (nicole.segura@usav.org) for approval to attend.

The WNT Open Program will be held from February 24-26 at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (OPTC) (1 Olympic Plz, Colorado Springs, CO 80909).

Lodging, Meals, and Travel: The Women's National Team Open Program is a residential event. All athletes are responsible for their travel to and from Colorado Springs. Athletes will have the option to stay in lodging off-site or on the OPTC campus, with check-in either February 23 or 24. For optimal program readiness and experience, staying on the OPTC campus with arrival on Thursday, February 23 is highly recommended. If an athlete chooses to stay off-campus, they will be responsible for booking their own lodging and providing their own meals. Athletes staying on-site will be provided meals at the OPTC cafeteria from the day of check-in until the day of check-out.

NOTE: Per NCAA legislation, it is allowable for an institution, if it so chooses, to pay the actual and necessary expenses for its athlete to attend a National Team tryout.
